JFS Family Connections: Making Threats Less Threatening

This workshop was created in response to the recent rise in threats and anti-Semitic activity nationwide. JFS child and adolescent therapist will address:

  • The procedures schools use to keep your children safe
  • How to prepare your child to stay safe and calm in a crisis situation
  • How to speak with your child about their feelings around threats¬† or prejudice they may be experiencing
  • Signs your child is stressed or nervous due to the current situation

There will also be an opportunity for families to ask questions, share concerns, and offer support and suggestions to each other.

Presented by Lindsay Murphy MSW, LCSWA, JFS Child & Adolescent Therapist and Tiffany Cohn, Special Agent III, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

This event is free and co-sponsored by Beth Meyer Preschool, Hillel Preschool, and Temple Beth Or Preschool . Child care is available for $10/child or $18/family payable to Hillel preschool at the event.
