JFS provides two types of transportation services to members of the Jewish community who are older adults or people with disabilities:
JFS volunteers provide free transportation for older adults to medical appointments, religious services, and social events. As this transportation is provided by volunteers, at least 1-week advance notice is required. At this time, our volunteers cannot accommodate disabilities. Please note, that due to the volunteer nature of this service, rides cannot always be guaranteed.
Subsidized individual transportation provided by a contracted service for medical appointments, religious services, social events, grocery shopping, etc. This service is fee-based, allowing you to contribute towards the cost of your rides and the continuity of our transportation program. To be accepted into the JFSGO program: Request, complete and mail an application, or apply online using the form below. Once your application is approved, you will be contacted to complete additional documents. No rides can be scheduled before an application is approved.
