Barry Schwartz joined JFS in 2015 after completing 15 years in directorial positions with The Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary, and 22 years in the private business sector.  He is responsible for business, financial, and governance management and development.

Limor Schwartz is a Master’s level, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working at JFS since 2012.  Along with supervising staff, and overseeing &  developing clinical and social services, she provides sliding-scale counseling and therapy, case management, and administers the Jewish Educational Loan Fund (JELF) for our community.

Abby Palmer, MSW

Abby Palmer is a Master’s level Social Worker and joined JFS in 2015 as the Senior Services Social Worker. She provides assessments, plan development, referrals/resource exploration, and community programming for older adults and/or their caregivers.

Veronica Kemeny, MSW, LCSW

Veronica is a Master’s level, Licensed Clinical Social Worker , and joined JFS in 2018. Veronica provides individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults and school services in the community’s religious schools and preschools.

Tracy Bennett

Tracy Bennett has been part of the JFS staff since 2009.  Tracy recruits, trains, and manages community volunteers, matching them to families and individuals in need to fulfill the Mitzvah of Gemilut Hasadim (acts of loving kindness).  She also manages community volunteer opportunities like Friendly Visitors, Bikur Cholim hospital visitations, retirement community Shabbat services, the JFS Food Pantry, JFSGo, Mitzvah Meal deliveries, and more.

Debbie Ross

Debbie Ross joined JFS in February 2018 as the Program Coordinator. With input from the JFS Clinical staff, she will develop and implement broad-based community outreach programs that are social service in nature. Debbie will work with the Volunteer Coordinator to develop broad-based volunteer opportunities and programs.

Carissa Berry

Carissa Berry is a social work graduate student at Louisiana State University. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology and she is working towards her Master’s degree in Social Work. She will be interning with us from January to August of this year.
