Kesher- Creative Arts Groups for Survivors
Kesher combines creative arts therapy groups with supporting services such as food assistance, transportation and regular outreach calls. Holocaust Survivors are invited to participate in a weekly Creative Arts therapy group, facilitated by a registered Drama therapist. Participants will build connections with others, while utilize a variety of creative arts methods such as music, drama and art, with the goal of improving mental health and reduce the social isolation of Holocaust survivors. Through this process, Year 1’s group worked together to produce a documentary about the participants’ stories of survival and resilience and their work through Kesher. Watch the trailer of “Where Can I Go” HERE (to bring this documentary to your organizations/school/synagogue, contact us HERE)
Kesher is partially funded by The Carolina Foundation for Jewish Seniors
