The covid19 Pandemic has created a surge in need for food. Since the beginning of 2020, our food assistance programs have provided more than 120 people in our community with over 13,000 meals- more than double the amount of 2019! Our Food Pantry is mainly sustained by community donations of food, and we’d like your help so we can meet the growing need.
From September thru December 2020, we are providing a variety of opportunities to fill the pantry. We hope you’ll choose to participate and fill our pantry. You can find what the most urgent items needed on our Wish List.
November & December- Food Drive Challenge
During the holiday months, there’s usually an increase in need for food. Help us by organizing a food collection in your own neighborhood, with your friends, or online! A few suggestions can include:
Leave a flyer in neighbors’ mail boxes and ask food to be dropped off at your porch.
Challenge your friends and family to collect food for JFS at an upcoming birthday party or Bar Mitzvah.
Donate food on our online food drive or create one yourself on You Give Goods.
Check out our Tips for running a successful food drive.
Will you be doing a neighborhood food drive? Please let us know so we’ll know what to expect.
We also accept food donations regularly in two other ways:
Find our drop off box outside our offices every Monday between 9am-2pm.
Ship food directly to us from Amazon.
