JFS Family Connections Presents:

Twists & Turns of Tweenhood: How to Understand and Support Your Child through the Tween Years

Navigating the tween years (roughly 9-12 years old) can be both exciting and challenging for young people and their parents. Behaviors and emotions that may not seem to make sense to an adult may very well be typical for this dynamic age group. Other behaviors or changes in mood may be warning signs that your tween’s safety is at risk.

Join JFS Therapist Carla Huff, MEd, MSW, LCSWA for an informative and open conversation about what parents need to know during this stage of child development. We will discuss both typical and atypical behaviors for this age as well as protective factors, risk factors and warning signs for suicide risk. We will also share resources for receiving support to help you and your child thrive, and hopefully find joy, in this life stage.
